Tarte Pastry’s Wedding and Celebration Cakes are a beautiful addition to your special day. Our bespoke cakes are a reflection of yourself and act as a visual focal point that will captivate your guests as they enjoy each morsel. Each cake is handcrafted with love and the finest quality ingredients.

All cakes are filled with your choice of filling, then frosted with American Buttercream (unless otherwise indicated).
Each tier is comprised of 3 layers* of cake with 2 layers of filling, frosted and embellished with edible decorations and candies.
Designs made with specialty elements such as fondant, printed icing, lace, or acrylic dividers will be an additional charge. Please inquire for pricing on any of these requests.
Base pricing starts at $5.50 a serving. All orders are priced based on the requests of the couple. Additional decorative elements will be included in design of cake. Each tier is 3 layers which gives extra height and increases the number of servings.

Cupcakes
Cupcakes can be a fun way to serve a variety of cake flavors to your guests, whether you have a difficult time choosing just one or two or love all the cupcakes! Cupcakes are available in all the same flavors as our regular cake layers.

Please note that these prices are examples only and may not reflect the actual cost of your cake once all flavors and finishes are finalized.
Any extra edible items requested for your order will also be added into your final cost. If I am to provide a cake topper that will also be added to your final cost. Let me know what I can do for you! I have a supplier for the cake toppers and only order when it’s requested.
Delivery and Set up (within 30 miles) : $15/hr + round-trip mileage both ways. For venues farther away than 30 miles, we may still be able to deliver and set up, but it will really depend on a number of factors, such as size of cake, refrigeration, etc.

What can I expect when I book a wedding cake consultation?
Initial wedding + design questionnaire so you can give us your ideas for what you want your cake to be. We will book a one hour in-person or on-the-phone design consultation, so that we can get all the details right for your bespoke cake. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer. This is for all orders over $100.00.
What flavor cake can I order? We cannot agree on just one.
We offer many different cake flavors, filling options and buttercreams that can be used for your particular cake. Cake tastings are $50 for 6 flavors, with a $25 credit toward any wedding cake purchase of $400 or more.
How much will the cake cost? I need to budget!
Your custom proposal with the outlined cost estimates that accommodate your vision, number of guests/servings & location for delivery will be emailed to you within 48 hours so you can fine tune, or make changes to accommodate your budget.
Will you deliver to my location or venue and set up my cake, or how will it get there ?
We do deliver and set up wedding cakes to your location/venue within 30 miles. This does not include the delivery and set up fee. We try to have only 1 cake delivery of this type per day, so that we can focus on your cake.
We charge a delivery fee because we are working during that time, and it costs money to get your cake there. All of our wedding cakes come with delivery and setup (delivery and set up are required for any cake over three tiers) at your venue. The delivery and set up fee are an additional charge not included in cake pricing.
I don’t want to pay for a delivery fee. Can I just pick it up myself?
If you choose to pick up your cake and set it up yourself, we can waive the delivery fee, but you will have to sign a waiver absolving Tarte Pastry and Cakes of any responsibility should anything happen to your cake. You will need to ensure you have adequate refrigeration, as we do not want your cake to melt or fall apart (buttercream is fragile!) or have anyone falling ill from eating a spoiled cake. Once it leaves our hands, it is no longer our responsibility.
Do you offer other things besides cake if we aren’t cake people?
From pastries, cupcakes, tarts and Groom’s cakes, and everything in between, we can help you find the perfect option for your special day.
How soon should I order my cake, and what about deposits?
ALL ORDERS for Wedding and Special Occasion Cakes will need to have a minimum advance notice of 6 months so that your day can be held, and a 50% non-refundable deposit to complete your request. The contract will be signed and deposit made during our first meeting. The deposit is required to reserve your date and time, and so we can shop your ingredients; the remainder is due no later than 30 days prior to your event. If payment in full is not made by this time, no cakes will be baked and your date will be cancelled.
What about celebration or special occasion cakes?
Celebration cakes require a minimum of 14 days advance notice, and payment in full at the time of order.
It seems like a lot of money for a cake. I can go get one at Wal-Mart for less.
While we know many budgets are limited, we craft each and every cake with the finest of ingredients to your specifications. Please note that costs are approximate based on market average, and current supply costs. Each cake, depending on its ingredients and complexity, is priced according to your order. If your budget is limited, and you still want a cake, we have other options that may fill your needs perfectly, and allow you to have your bespoke cake instead of settling for a supermarket cake. Please ask us or let us know so we can help you find your solution.
My baker fell through or I had an emergency and need a cake next week/month!
While we usually require a minimum advance notice of 6 months, we may be able to get your cake done if you have an emergency. We still require 2 weeks advance notice, payment in full, and your cake will be greatly limited in design.
My wedding was cancelled. I’m heartbroken. Do I get a refund?
No one ever wants to hear that your wedding was cancelled or other misfortunes have happened, but we cannot refund your initial deposit. We will refund the remainder as long as you cancel prior to 30 days of the date of your event. No cancellations, for any reason, are honored after that time period. We shop well in advance for many of the ingredients for our cakes, and because the cakes are bespoke, we often are unable to use them for any other order. While we sympathize with your situation, we will not refund if you are past the 30 day window. If you cancel later than 30 days prior to delivery date, you will be required to pay the full amount of the order. No exceptions.
